Covid – 19  Measures

Liverpool VRVE space out our sessions to allow for cleaning of studios. We have plenty of time to air out and clean between sessions. There is a ventilation system in the Studios that brings in fresh air and expels the air out of the room.

We have hand sanitisers in reception and by the entrance to both studios for use regularly by staff and clients.

What is VR and what Equipment do you have?

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.  Virtual Reality is where you put a comfortable Headset on and experience a multitude of games and experiences for all your senses.

Each individual will wear one of our wireless headsets, providing high quality wireless VR, complete with full room scale tracking and controllers. There is a diverse range of fantastic experiences available and you can easily swap to a new game whenever you like. It’s super easy to use these headsets and there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

We have Two Studios at the VRVE, so there is plenty of room for you and your party.

Who can use VR?

We have an extensive catalogue of games, there’s truly something for everyone. We cater for people 9 years and above, with no technical knowledge required. Children as young as 8 have used the Headsets at Liverpool VRVE but please be aware that the headsets may be large for children with small heads. Please contact us to fully discuss BEFORE you book a session.  We would hate for them to come excited and find the headsets or controllers are too big for them. For children aged 12 or younger, we require one supervised adult per three children to help supervise and take care of our equipment.

How many people can come?

For a 1 hour slot, up to 10 people can use each studio, which allows for a good amount of time for everyone to try a variety of experiences. Each studio is currently exclusive to your party.  We can accomodate larger groups sizes in the studio if needed, please contact us for details.   There are couches for the non players to sit and watch what is going on as well as a cafe area where you can get drinks and snacks if needed.

How does it work?

After welcoming you in and a brief induction, our studio host will start your group on an intro experience “The Plank “, one-at-a-time, projected onto our big TV. This is fantastic fun to watch and a real challenge, so be brave and be prepared!!

Each member of your group will then be allocated an area, fitted with a headset and set off into our games. We choose the easiest and most fun games first to get you fully immersed in VR. We then show you how to quit any game, get into menu and games library and suggest games that are suitable for you based on your needs.. Everyone can pick any experience that they’d like, with our host ready and waiting to make recommendations depending on your preferences.

There’s no limits or constraints, everyone can do any experience for as long as they’d like and swap & change at any time throughout your session. During your session, our host will usually recommend a multiplayer experience or two. We’ve got a few different options for 2, 4,  and 10 players, dependent on time, see below for further details!

Can I bring a larger Group?

Yes! We can accommodate a maximum of 27 people by using both studios and rotating groups

For children 9 to 12 years, a ratio of 1  adult to 4 children to supervise

For children 12 to 16 years, a ratio of 1 adult to 8 children to supervise

Please contact us for further details about  larger group bookings.

How do I Book and do we have to Book in advance?

You can then return to the games menu from within the Headset at any point  and switch games as often as you choose.

Can I book multiple hours?

Yes of course! Whilst 1 hour is a great introduction to VR, an extra hour will give you enough time to try a variety of different experiences! To book multiple hours, simply add the second slot into your basket by heading back to the booking page. You could even utilise the whole VRVE premises for your party by booking both rooms simultaneously, which means you also have sole use of the Reception Area and cafe.

We can book multiple hours for you if you wish to ease the process. Just contact us via social media and we can assist you in making the multiple bookings.

Can we do multiplayer experiences?

Some games offer multi-player options but most games in our catalogue are single player experiences. Blaston, Elven Assassin, Racket Nx, Drop Dead and HyperDash are games that have multi-player elements to them. We will tailor the session to meet your needs and requirements.

Can I use the headset with glasses?

Yes, the headset is designed to work perfectly with all types of glasses and due to the way the optics work, most people find they don’t need to wear them at all!

Do I need to bring anything with me?
